I am fascinated by plant forms, sculptural seed-heads and intertwining stems and leaves. I work in Acrylic paint and watercolour pencil on board and my painting process involves building up layers of colour washes over a dark base.

Focusing on the negative spaces and building from dark to light, the result is one reminiscent of batik or stained glass.
